2025-26 Fixtures Released
Pompey kick off Championship Season at Oxford
Pompey are set to begin their 2025/26 Championship campaign by making the relatively short trip up to Oxford.
It is a familiar setting for head coach John Mousinho, will be returning to the Kassam Stadium with his Blues squad on Saturday, August 9 (3pm kick-off) – with the game shown live on Sky Sports+.
The first home fixture then follows a week later, with Norwich the visitors to Fratton Park before August concludes with matches against West Brom (A) and Preston North End (H).
But the fixture that immediately catches the eye comes straight after the season’s maiden international break at the beginning of September.
The first south coast derby for six years sees Pompey head west along the M27 to take on Southampton at St Mary’s.
That contest is provisionally scheduled for September 13, with the return fixture at Fratton Park on January 24.
Supporters can look forward to a festive double at home, with QPR visiting on Boxing Day followed by Charlton on December 29.
Mousinho’s men are then set to welcome in the new year by visiting Bristol City on the opening day of 2026.
Easter – which falls in early April – brings the traditional fixture double, starting with a trip to Norwich before returning to PO4 to host Oxford.
Pompey will bring the curtain down on the season with a game against newly promoted Birmingham that is currently scheduled for Saturday, May 2.
